About Links Woes

Come to the place of safety, all you prisoners, for there is yet hope!
I promise right now, I will repay you two mercies for each of your woes!
Zechariah 9:12 (NLT)

 The mission of W.O.E.'s to W.O.W.'s Ministries is to:

  • encourage Christians to turn their W.O.E.'s (wounds of existence) to W.O.W.'s wonderful opportunities for wisdom);
  • restore hope and purpose in place of discouragement;
  • connect hope to the hurting;
  • and, reconcile hurting people to God and their community

When the ministry first started, our goal was to get invovled with churches and get churches to get the laity involved with hurting poeple. Well, it's been almost seven years and that "ain't" happened. So, apparently that wasn't God's plan for this ministry. Therefore, the Mission Statement is being revised.

God has simply called us to encourage hurting people to deal with their pain in hopes of reconnecting them to a right relationship with the Creator of the Universe. We hunger to see wholeness in the lives of people who have been beaten down by Satan's lies and schemes.

It would be great to lead them to a church where abused people can be encouraged to operate in their gifts as they grow spiritually; where they are taught Biblical truths; where they aren't held back because of their abuse or because they are divorced people; where parents of rebellious children are lifted up and not looked down on; and where the local church is the Body of Christ. However, we don't have the ability to get out and search for churches of this kind.

Our logo represents two hurting people who have found freedom in Christ. While they may not be perfect, they recognize that their freedom comes through the sacrificial love of Jesus Christ as expressed through His death on the cross, His burial, His resurrection, and His authority as He sits on the throne at God's right hand. They are attached to the cross, but they soar with the power of the Holy Spirit! All the glory goes to Him. We continue to hope!

Hope you were encouraged.
