Divorce is not a Dirty Word
Trust in the
Lord with all your heart, and don't depend on your own understanding.
Remember the Lord in all you do, and he will give you success.
While in the hospital recovering from an attempted suicide in November of 1993, I felt God telling me to "trust His heart." I began to realize that I had accepted Christ as my Savior, but I never really trusted God to guide me in the day to day activities of my life.
As I began to really "search" the scriptures for God's heart, my faith began to grow. I began to see in the book of Isaiah just how much God cares about the brokenhearted, the discouraged, and the outcast. My eyes were opened to the truth - God loves me.
Based on your understanding, you probably feel that no one loves you. Believe this, God loves you today - He is as close to you as the very air you breath. He wants you to trust Him as you go through this heartbreaking time. He wants you to lean on Him. He wants you to know, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that He hurts with you. He knows how it feels to be neglected and abandoned, that is why He hates divorce.
In every situation you find yourself today, stop and know that God is with you. Say a simple prayer and let Him unfold the mysteries of His love to you.
Heavenly Father, I want to know you more than I do now. I believe you are doing something in my life. Please help me and be patient with me as I work through this pain. Please, don't let my heart become more hardened.
