Divorce is not a Dirty Word
Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make your paths straight.
I realize this scripture was used earlier this week, but it needs to sink in to your very being. You need to learn to trust God. I also realize that trust is not a good word for you right now. Never was for me. Yet, through some of the worst situations of my life ¾ God proved trustworthy.
Your understanding in your particular situation right now may be a little shaky. Emotions may be controlling what you think, do, and say ¾ and that is not good. So, find a friend, a counselor, or anyone who will be honest with you. Talk to them about what you are going through. Don't try to be tough and let crazy thoughts run all through your mind.
God has a plan for your life. The best thing to do right now is turn your eyes on Jesus and think about what He would say to you in this situation.
I try to picture sitting with Him outside by a fire, just talking about creation and how everything got started. Jesus loves you. He cares what happens. He knows your pain. Never forget the fact that ¾ He was rejected too.
Oh, Jesus, how did You do it? I mean, I know You are God, but how in the world could You stand having everyone think You were crazy, knowing that You were God? I am having a hard time believing that I am okay because of this rejection. Please come and sit with me. I just need a friend right now and You are the only friend I know who will not reject me!
