Molested: Prayers by D. White
Cup Half Full: Molested as a Minor
75. Bon-voyage
When I say good-bye to a destructive
friendship, God, let it be with kindness and caring. Let it be final when
it is necessary, and let it be clear. Let there be the kindness of telling
the person they have better things ahead of him or her. Let all I say be
from a chord of love, but also clear. Don't allow me to back peddle about
what I mean. Like, "Thank you for coming, but I am tired," and then
instead of walking the company to the door, standing and talking for three
more hours. That is not very clear, and it may be very difficult on the
message fitting the action. I don't have to be a psychiatrist to figure
things out, and decide how best to be nice about an evening whose time has
come to end, or a relationship whose time has come to end.
