KNOW A FOOL?

Those who listen to instruction will prosper; those who trust the Lord will be happy.
The wise are known for their understanding, and instruction is appreciated if it's well presented. Discretion is a life-giving fountain to those who possess it, but discipline is wasted on fools.
From a wise mind comes wise speech; the words of the wise are persuasive.
Proverbs 16:20-23

Many of us are probably reading this and thinking, "Wow, I wish I had known that years ago!" Me too! For way too many years I was great at spouting off at the mouth, but listening? Oh, well, I guess it's better late than never – right?

Receiving God's Word as instructions for our lives often takes years. However, if we will allow Him to take what we call the "wasted years" of our lives and use them as instruction now – He can and will turn those woes to wows for His glory!

What about those fools among us? Yes, there are those and many times the discipline doled out to them is wasted. However, we should never stop disciplining. One day that fool just might fall far enough that the only way they can look is up – up to God! So, never cease to discipline and never cease to pray!

Have a great Saturday and let everything you go through this weekend bring you wisdom and understanding regarding the Lord you love and the fools in your life!

Father, we know that You wisely place fools among us to instruct us on the importance of discipline and prayer. Help us take every opportunity to lift these people up to You and in faith believe that one day they, like us, will turn to You and receive the instruction You so freely provide! Thank You for the loving reminder that when I trust You I am truly happy!

Hope you were encouraged.
