YOU ARE BLESSED BY GOD!

Elizabeth gave a glad cry and exclaimed to Mary, "You are blessed by God above all other women, and your child is blessed. What an honor this is, that the mother of my Lord should visit me! When you came in and greeted me, my baby jumped for joy the instant I heard your voice! You are blessed, because you believed that the Lord would do what he said."
Mary responded, "Oh, how I praise the Lord. How I rejoice in God my Savior! For he took notice of his lowly servant girl, and now generation after generation will call me blessed. For he, the Mighty One, is holy, and he has done great things for me. His mercy goes on from generation to generation, to all who fear him. His mighty arm does tremendous things! How he scatters the proud and haughty ones! He has taken princes from their thrones and exalted the lowly. He has satisfied the hungry with good things and sent the rich away with empty hands And how he has helped his servant Israel! He has not forgotten his promise to be merciful. For he promised our ancestors – Abraham and his children – to be merciful to them forever."
Luke 1:42-55

Don't you just love it when someone is excited about seeing you again? It is even more exciting when that person recognizes that God has placed something inside of us and acknowledges that truth to us. That is called exhortation. But what Elizabeth and Mary shared this special day was more than exhortation is was revelation knowledge and prophecy!

Elizabeth and Mary were both living testimonies of God's promises and prophecies. They were the fulfillment of what God promised He would do. They also prophesied of what was to come. Something happens supernaturally when two Believers come together in truth under the anointing of the Holy Spirit.

Without a doubt I believe that the gift of prophecy is still with us. I believe there are people anointed with this special gift and it is a gift that isn't often well received. However, there are people who claim to have a prophetic gift, but they are not genuine. So, we must be very careful about prophecies given to us.

We would do well to hold Mary's response inside of us and proclaim it often…"He has not forgotten his promise to be merciful." God indeed is merciful. We may need to be reminded of that as we gather with friends and family this Season. Let us show mercy to others as He has shown mercy to us.

Have a Great Christmas my brothers and sisters. May His grace and glory abound in your lives!

Father, I praise You and thank You for the gift of prophecy. I praise You and thank You for the gift of Your mercy. I pray Lord that each person reading this prayer today will walk in the grace and mercy that You so lovingly provide. Embrace us with Your love and fill us with Your power so that we can love those who have wronged us this Christmas and in the coming new year. We ask this so that Your Kingdom may come in this world and control our lives just as You live in Heaven!

Hope you were encouraged.
Please come back often.
