Do not lie in wait like an outlaw at the home of the godly.

raid the house where the godly live.
They may trip seven times, but each
time they will rise again.
But one calamity is enough to lay the wicked low.

Sometimes people need a hand up! God never orchestrates the destruction of His faithful followers. He wants to provide us protection. Yet, we know that Satan is allowed to place obstacles in our path from time to time to make us strong.
Sometimes our flesh leads us down a path that has obstructions that trip us up or knock us down, but God promises that the faithful will rise again. We fall down, but we get up. I guess that is one of the outstanding hallmarks of a Christian! However, people that do not have the indwelling power of the Holy Spirit are unable to stand up again. They just wallow in the mud pit they fall into.
One of the things God expects from His children is to be a hand up to those who have fallen and can't get up. Do you know someone that may need a hand up this Christmas? Do yourself a favor and be the hands of Christ. There is no greater joy!
Father, I thank You so much for Your Word! I love the truths that You provide for us to learn. Lead us now into the season where we celebrate Your profound love of us. Help us to be Your hands extended - reaching out to those who are unable to help themselves!
