ONE ENEMY

I come to you for protection, O Lord my God.
Save me from my persecutors
¾ rescue me!
If you don't, they will maul me like a lion,
tearing me to pieces with no one to rescue me.
O Lord my God, if I have done wrong or am guilty of injustice,
if I have betrayed a friend or plundered my enemy without cause,
then let my enemies capture me.
Let them trample me into the ground.
Let my honor be left in the dust.
Interlude
Arise, O Lord, in anger!
Stand up against the fury of my enemies!
Wake up, my God, and bring justice!
Gather the nations before you.
Sit on your throne high above them.
The Lord passes judgment on the nations.
Declare me righteous, O Lord,
for I am innocent, O Most High!
End the wickedness of the ungodly,
but help all those who obey you.
For you look deep within the mind and heart,
O righteous God.
Psalm 7:1-9

I can't remember what day the Lord really helped me get a grasp of the fact that we truly do not war with flesh and blood, but I got it. No matter who we are, no matter what we are doing, there is only one enemy ¾ Satan.

When God showed me that Satan was using my children to distract me from what God wanted me to do, I began to stand against the enemy ¾ not against my children. However, before we stand against the enemy, we need to pray what David prayed, "O Lord my God, if I have done wrong or am guilty of injustice, if I have betrayed a friend or plundered my enemy without cause, then let my enemies capture me. Let them trample me into the ground. Let my honor be left in the dust." Before we can stand firm against the enemy we need to make sure that our heart is right.

Father, please pardon us if our motives have gotten out of line. Please rekindle in us the fire of Your love. Line us up according to Your will for our lives. We submit to Your plan.

Hope you were encouraged.
Please come back often.
