I will thank you, Lord, with all my heart;
I will tell of all the
marvelous things you have done.
I will be filled with joy because of you.
I will sing praises to your name, O Most High.
Psalm 9:1-2
One of the things I remember from time to time about my mother was the fact that she totally enjoyed listening to me sing when I was a little girl. Anytime folks gathered, whether family or friends, mother would ask me to sing for everybody.
Of course, as I got older, one of the things my mother enjoyed hearing was "thank you" for the things she did for me. Although "thank you's" were never "expected," she enjoyed receiving them.
As you go to your place of worship this morning, allow God to minister to you as you sing praises to His name with all your heart. He will show up!
Father, I truly believe that You enjoy hearing our praise. I look forward to the day when all of Your children gather around Your throne and sing praises together, but more than that - I look forward to the day when we all hear You say, "well done"!
