I trust in the Lord for protection.
So why do you say to me, "Fly to the
mountains for safety?
The wicked are stringing their bows
and setting
their arrows in the bowstrings.
They shoot from the shadows
at those who
do right.
The foundations of law and order have collapsed.
What can the
righteous do?"
But the Lord is in his holy Temple;
the Lord still rules
from heaven.
He watches everything closely,
examining everyone on earth.
The Lord examines both the righteous and the wicked.
He hates everyone
who loves violence.
He rains down blazing coals on the wicked,
punishing
them with burning sulfur and scorching winds.
For the Lord is righteous, and
he loves justice.
Those who do what is right will see his face.

Do you truly trust in the Lord for your protection? If we truly trust in Him for everything, including protection, why do we want to run when we feel threatened? Why is it that when Satan begins to attack us do we feel like we need to run anywhere but into the arms of God? Why? Because way too many times we forget that the Lord is with us ¾ in His holy temple ¾ inside of us. He is truly our protection because He is with us always.
Although God Himself rules from Heaven, we have the Holy Spirit to comfort and protect us from the tactics of the enemy. We simply need to learn to "be still and know that He is God." We need to remember that we do not war with flesh and blood. We also need to remember that when we reach the valley of the shadow of death and we trust the Lord to see us through that He will allow us to see the glory of His face and guide us safely through.
Hallelujah, what a Savior! Are you fully trusting Him today for your every
need? If not, when you go to worship Him this morning simply confess your
unbelief and lean on His forgiveness. As the old song says,
"With arms
wide open ¾ He'll pardon you ¾ It is no secret what God can do!"
Have a marvelous time of worship today knowing that God has provided you with a Comforter who will protect you spirit from any and everything Satan throws at you!
Father, we thank You and praise You for the Comforter. We praise You Father that You have already set Your angels to work on our behalf. We don't have to "run" anywhere, we simply have to be still and know that You are with us. Oh, Lord, we want to worship You this morning in Spirit and Truth. Clean us up and help us worship You in the manner that You deserve!
