CLAP AND SHOUT!

Come, everyone, and clap your hands for joy!
Shout to God with joyful praise!
For the Lord Most High is awesome.
He is the great King of all the earth.
He subdues the nations before us,
putting our enemies beneath our feet.
He chose the Promised Land as our inheritance,
the proud possession of Jacob's descendants, whom he loves.
Interlude
God has ascended with a mighty shout.
The Lord has ascended with trumpets blaring.
Sing praise to God, sing praises;
sing praise to our King, sing praises!
For God is the King over all the earth.
Praise him with a psalm!
God reigns above the nations,
sitting on his holy throne.
The rulers of the world have gathered together.
They join us in praising the God of Abraham.
For all the kings of the earth belong to God.
He is highly honored everywhere."
Psalm 47

God deserves our praise, and that includes our applause. He is totally worthy of all accolades we can offer Him. By the way, it isn't hypocritical to praise Him in the midst of our problems – even when we don't feel like it!

Maybe like me, you need an "interlude" where you can sit and just know that Jesus Christ ascended to be with the Father and He has given us all power and authority to put our enemies under our feet. Walk in that today. As you go to your place of worship this morning put all that you have behind you for a little while and worship the Lord in Spirit and Truth. I know He will be pleased and the person next to you just might be encouraged to do the same!

Father, sometimes we forget what a privilege it is to worship You. Meet with us today. Receive our applause and praise as offerings of love. Rekindle in us the fire of Your love so that we can go out this week and love the people You place in our presence – especially the ones in our homes. We need Your grace to make it!

Hope you were encouraged.
Please come back often.
